Our soil, which is being inundated with everything the Bio-Tech Industry can promote, is being stripped of it's nutrients. There's plenty of "Straight-From-Real-Academia" Science to verify it.

Your 6th Grade Science book from 40 years ago discussed soil conservation, rotating crops, etc. as being necessary if you wanted to keep getting yields from the same patch of land.
